Love of the Coconut Oil

No wonder the coconut oil at Trader Joe’s gets sold out so quickly.  I am in love with the natural uses of coconut oil – you can use coconut oil in as many as 101 ways!

Here is a great article from Dr. Axe on 40 uses of the coconut oil – food, beauty, skin, and medicinal uses, and also one about the 101 uses from Wellness Mama – two natural cure websites I enjoy reading.

My favourite uses of coconut oil (from Dr. Axe and Wellness Mama) are:

Energizer – Mix 1 tbsp coconut oil with 1/2 tbsp chia seeds as energy fuel.  The MCT’s in coconut oil plus nutrients in chia will send your energy soaring.  (warning – don’t use it at night!)

Eye Makeup Remover – Use with cotton swab as eye makeup remover instead of chemicals. (Save me money and time for sure!)

Cure Infection – Topically (add some raw honey as well), can help skin heal faster after injury or infection.  (It works!)

Natural Deodorant – and here is a recipe and more:  (I am looking forward to this DIY)

Mineralizing toothpaste – Mix equal parts of coconut oil with baking soda then add a few drops of peppermint essential oil for homemade toothpaste.  (Great, I don’t use fluoride any more).

Alzheimer’s Treatment – Take 1 tbsp daily to support brain health and prevent Alzheimer’s as part of ketogenic diet. (Absolutely important news!)

  1. Thank you so much, dear simplecherishes for sharing with us this very interesting and very useful!

I use only coconut cakes. I did lust with dark chocolate brownies. 🙂 It is delicious!
Also, I use shower gel coconut, because it leaves skin soft!

Have a great week and happiness, dear simplecherishes. Hugs, Ştefania. ❤ 🙂
